Completed! 2007 Parksville Gasshuku

Todo Kai hosted the 6th Annual Parksville Gasshukusho for 2007.

This year’s event was especially meaningful because of Ted Sensei’s recent passing. Interim President Hiro Inoe led the first day of practice which was well attended and received by all.

The annual general meeting was held after the days practice at Sensei Peter Gunstone’s house to explain our current situation and hear input from the membership at large. This was followed by a directors meeting to decide our new course of action and elect a new executive. In brief, our new executive is as follows:

President: Denton Hewgill, 5th Dan
Vice President: Hiro Inoe, 5th Dan
Treasurer: Peter Gunstone, 5th Dan
Web site & Communications: Greg Williams, 5th Dan

Three new directors were invited to join to increase representation from the east coast. More information will be given, later.

The next day, practice was lead by Denny Sensei and complemented by the new executive. We wish to thank everyone who attended and supported us. We wish to acknowledge and thank the support of everyone who has helped us address this difficult transition.

The Parksville gasshuku was held at the Bradley Centre in Coombs, where we have previously held this event.
