Congratulations to Takeji Itoh Sensei
Takeji Itoh sensei, who has been a strong supporter of the Canadian Iaido Association both in local instruction and as a proponent for the Canadian Iaido Association in Japan, has won the Renshi Iaido competition at the 42nd Hokuriku Eishin Ryu Iaido Taikai.

New CIA Dojo: 100 Mile Iaido

CIA Organizational Membership Restructuring
In accordance with the Government of British Columbia’s Non-Profit societies act, President Denton Hewgill Sensei and Manager of Finances Chris Tooley Sensei have restructured the organisational membership of the Canadian Iaido Association in order to strengthen our association, and coordinate with the All Japan Iaido Federation (ZNIR).
New Victoria Dojo: Shoshinkai Quadra
Mark McAllister (3 Dan, ZNIR) and Stuart Branson (3rd Dan, ZNIR) will be moving their Prospect Lake Dojo to Quadra on Monday nights from 6:30PM to ~8:30PM at 3947-B Quadra Street.

The first Shoshinkai December 2017 Gasshuku – Thanks to all who attended, please remember what we went over and write down/practice the techniques. Everyone worked hard, and afterwards we had a great dinner. We look forward to future Gasshukus!
