Theodore(Ted) Davis Sensei, ZNIR 7th Dan, the Founder and the 1st President of the Canadian Iaido Association, passed away on August 3rd, 2007.
Ted Davis Sensei was a passionate advocate for Iaido in Canada, founding the Canadian Iaido Association in 1993, after many years of his own personal practice in Iaido.
Before his passing, he had practiced Iaido for well over 30 years under many excellent teachers, including, but not limited to, Oyanagi Sensei, Ara Sensei, Suzuki Sensei, and Kawakubo Sensei. He was also the founder of the University of Victoria Kendo Club.
